Tour Details

Day One: (approx 55 kms)
From downtown Victoria, we will ride the famous Galloping Goose Trail system to Brentwood Bay, where we will have lunch on a waterfront patio. After a short ferry ride across the Sannich Inlet, we arrive into the Cowichan Valley district. We will move through the picturesque countryside to one of Vancouver Island’s
vineyards Cherry Point and enjoy a tour and tasting. From here, it is onto Cowichan Bay for a taste of delicious homemade ice cream. The Cowichan Valley offers ample backroad routes that bring you through lush and rolling landscapes, and allow you unparalleled glimpses of seascapes and countrysides.

Day Two: (approx. 50 kms)

After a delicious breakfast, we will set out to explore Saltspring Island, the largest and most famous of
the Southern Gulf Islands. Ganges Harbour is where we will start our ride for the day, riding  a loop of the
north end with a visit of a local winery. Lunch will be set on the beach overlooking the Strait of Georgia. After
lunch, we will ride into Ganges where guests can wander the impressive selection of artisan shops and
galleries overlooking the harbour, or get back on the bike to ride a southern loop. Ending the day with a
supper at one of the local eateries.

Day Three: (approx. 30 kms)
This morning begins with a privately chartered Zodiac ride through the Trincomali Channel to the north
end of Galiano Island, where our bikes will await us. After a short ride on a quiet country road, we will hike
down to Pebble Beach, where we get our first glimpses of the Coastal Mountains and the City of
Vancouver. After a picnic lunch at the picturesque Montague Harbour, we end the day with a hike of
Mount Galiano, which offers us magnificent southerly views of the Coast Mountain Range, Mount Baker,
the Gulf and San Juan Islands, Vancouver Island and even the Olympic Peninsula 100 kilometers away.
Accommodations and dinner tonight are at the Woodstone Country Inn.

Day Four: (approx. 40 kms)
Nothing starts the day better than a home cooked breakfast. After our meal, we will catch another
ferry to Pender Island. Pender is made up of two islands, separated by a man-made channel that was
dredged in 1903 to create a safe passage for steamships. Historic 2000-year-old trails still exist in this
area. The day’s end brings us to one of the most beautiful harbours in all of BC, Poet’s Cove at Bedwell
Harbour. We check into our hotel, get refreshed and ready for another great dinner and spectacular
sunset.

Day Five: (approx. 40km)
We start the day with a water taxi transfer directly from Poets Cove to Sidney, a quaint seaside town
on the north east coast of the Saanich Penisula. From here we cycle the Lochside Trail which traverses
bird sanctuaries, active farmlands, seaside trails and train trestles as it winds its way back to Victoria.
Incredible views of the Coastal Mountains, including the massive Mount Baker volcano, make for
unparalleled vistas.
