“Lochside tour was great”

We did the Lochside tour where they take you up to Sidney and you cycle back (unguided) to Victoria through farm land, lush forests, by the water, through quaint areas and finally through Victoria. It was a great day to spend the day.  The guy that dropped us off at the top (Andrew) was very helpful in pointing out things as we went along so that we would be sure not to get lost and that we would make the most of our day.  I highly recommend this for anyone looking to do something a little different in Victoria.

“Fabulous 5 days of fun!!”

We just completed the five day 4 night cycle trip through the Gulf Islands. Having never been on a cycle excursion before we had nothing to compare it to. That being said, we are now hooked. Cycle Treks is a top notch establishment. We were on well maintained, good quality bikes, we stayed at wonderful hotels or Inns all with superb views of the harbors, we ate at good restaurants, the bike routes were well planned out, and best of all, the guides were informative, knowledgeable, and very attentive. We were given a good safety briefing before starting out and were given detailed info on the route we’d be taking at various times through the day. A big shout out to our awesome guides Alex, Liam, and Andrew (the owner). The Gulf Islands are incredibly beautiful, but very hilly.  A word of advice if considering this route; do some legit hill training and maybe a few trips to the gym to strengthen the quads and hams. You’ll enjoy it that much more if you’re properly conditioned. We felt we got very good value for dollar with Cycle Treks and would use them again!! Such fun 🙂  Leslie & Barry Kelowna BC

“Day Trip of Wine Region”

We had the most wonderful day out with Sarah as our guide and just one other lovely couple. The bikes were almost brand new, well maintained and great to ride. Sarah was such a friendly, informative and professional guide she really made the day particularly enjoyable. The stops were all great fun, we loved sampling the local ciders and wines accompanied by tasty bites to keep up the energy levels. If you want to get out and explore Victoria then Cycle Treks is the way to go, just wish that Australia wasn’t so far away. August 2014

“Fantastic 5 day cycle tour”

If you where thinking of doing a cycle tour this company is the best we have ever had. Accommodations were first class, meals superb and bikes excellent. But it was the staff that really made our vacation first rate. Alex and Liam went all out to ensure everyone had a great time, better guides cannot be found. Andrew made sure all our needs were addressed and if we needed something he made it happen. Office staff ( Connie ) went out of her way to help us with a problem. All in all the best vacation we have had to date.  Bob and Jeanne

“The Butchart Bike Tour is a must do!”

We did the Butchart Bike Tour which involves getting a bus to the Gardens where they leave you with your entrance ticket and a bike. It’s up to you to get back to Victoria! This option was great because we were on our own schedule. The bike back to Victoria was probably one of the loveliest ones I’ve taken and a really unexpected delight on a beautiful summer day. We were provided with a good sized pack that attached to the back of each bike so we had plenty of room for camera and a picnic lunch. It is almost 30 miles back to Victoria and we added about a mile loop at the recommendation of our driver and it was so worth it. Coastline, farms, woods, gravel paths, boardwalks, residential areas and finally back into downtown. Minimal time sharing the road with vehicles. We kept the bikes for the full 24 hrs-so glad because it was a great way to circle down by the breakwater and see the park (really big surprise!). Definitely do this in Victoria.

“Winery Tour”

Had the most amazing day trip out with these guys. They setup all our cycle kit and ensured we were well prepared for the day ahead! 55km covered, two wineries and a cider stop covered, lots of wine tasting and a great knowledgeable guide made this trip well worthwhile. If you like fun active sightseeing tours then these guys are certainly for you 🙂  5 June 2014

“Beautiful British Columbia”

Don and I are settled back in our routine in Los Angeles. Some of the trip seems like a dream to me, particularly riding most of those hills. The best part of course was seeing parts of beautiful British Columbia and meeting you guys. I call Andrew the Chief, Alex the Wizard and Liam my Buddy. All three of you took very good care of me and I thank you very much. Even as I write this e-mail I have a smile on my face. I wish all of you the best. I’m trying to get a bike ride in today and I am wearing my cycle trek shirt. Keep breathing, pumping and enjoying life.  Don & Debbie Mink – 5 Day Gulf Island Tour June 2014

“Wine & Cider Tour”

Amazing day on a bike today! We went to a cider brewery and two vineyards for tastings and some lunch and all were amazing, but what really made the day was our guide, Alex. He seemed to know everything about Victoria and was really easy to talk to. The ride was fun and was kept to a pace we were comfortable at while the bikes and equipment were really well maintained. It was a really good day and an amazing way to see Victoria! (Oh and also good to mention I felt safe at all times unlike some bike tours I’ve been on in the past!!) Sam Tristram June 2014 – England

“The Perfect Way to See Victoria”

‘We had to dig around to find Cycle Treks (Kind of hidden near the Float Plane station), but it was worth it. We spent 3 hours cycling with a guide (Josh, who was wonderful) along the coast, into small neighborhoods with a running commentary and interesing tidbits about Victoria. The ride was about 11 miles, but only 2 hills and the rest was easy, and we are in our 60’s. Even got to feed a sealion! Also – stop by Red Fish/Blue Fish right next door for fish & chips eaten on the wharf sitting on a barrel. Great way to reward yourself.’ Bev & Mark – Ninety Six, SC

“Pacific Marine Circle Tour”

I had a great time on this multi day tour. I think it would be fun for many levels of cyclists, the group I did it with were all great athletes but it also would be enjoyable for recreational cyclists. The organization, food, views and company were all excellent.  It’s a great trip to do solo because you meet and spend time with other people on the tour. The people at Cycle Treks, including Connie for information before the trip, and Alex and Andrew as guides during the tour were both professional and organized but also really fun and friendly as well.  Anyone who loves cycling and the great outdoors would likely enjoy this trip!  Mehmet-2012

“Best Way to See Victoria”

‘I was extremely impressed with my experience at Cycle Treks. After a mix-up where I thought I had booked a tour but never actually did, the guys at Cycle Treks came through with what turned out to be an amazing day. They require at least 2 people for a tour, so when I showed up alone thinking I had booked a tour, they didn’t even have a guide available that day. They offered to give me a bike and equipment for an hour to check out the James Bay and Beacon Hill Park areas by myself until a guide happened to be available, then they got him to meet me for a solo guided tour of the city for another few hours. Worked out perfectly! We visited some must-see landmarks as well as many off-the-beaten-path gems. The guide was engaging and informative. Overall, it ended up being a highlight of my trip! I made sure to give a sizable tip for their kindness and extra effort.’  June 2012
